Task 2 – Skills Development

Callum ReillyThis image was created by me using Adobe Photoshop CS6. I used this tutorial to help me create the image; www.setiawanfarlin.com/2012/06/make-football-poster-using-photoshop.html

As you can see I have done this image in many different ways to the tutorial, I got 3 images that I wanted to use, they were the metal texture, a Birmingham City player and the Birmingham City emblem. I had to edit this images by deleting backgrounds and changing the colour of the metal texture. I then added a gradient of royal blue and white on to the metal texture, then I added my edited pictures on to the image and put the picture of the Birmingham City player in front of the layer that had the Birmingham City emblem. After I had the images where I wanted them, I added the name of the player “Callum Reilly” and his squad number “33”. Once all this was done I clicked on each layer and clicked filter, then I clicked filter gallery, it then opened a window where I could preview the different filters I could use, I chose texturizer and craquelure.

Me sketchThis image was really easy to make, it was created using Adobe Photoshop. I used this tutorial www.zezevideotutorials.com/2010/05/28/turn-photo-into-sketch-using-photoshop-cs5/

I chose an image that I wanted to edit (original image below) and that was used as my background, I then duplicated the image and went to image<adjustments<desaturate. I then duplicated that layer and went up to image<adjustments<inverse and then I changed the blending option to colour dodge and then I went to filter<blur<guassian blur and had a little play around with changing the settings, I then made the 2nd duplicated layer invisible.

Birmingham City FC

This image was createdd using Adobe Illustrator. I used this tutorial to learn how to use the pen tool and trace over an image http://ndesign-studio.com/tutorials/tracing-photo

I chose an image that I wanted to trace and placed that on layer 1 of illustrator, I double clicked the layer and made sure lock, show, print and preview were ticked, I also clicked dim images to 30%. I then added a new layer and I started to use the pen tool to trace over my image. The writing was quite difficult to go around using the pen tool, so I used the brush tool.

Superhero Body

Superhero Body

This was created using Adobe Illustrator. I used this tutorial to create the body of a superhero. http://www.webdesign.org/vector-graphics/adobe-illustrator/character-superheroes-illustration-set.19240.html

I used the pen tool to create the outline of the body and the muscles. I also used the gradient tool to put the colour on to the body.
