BOA Digital Webpage Brief

Purpose

The purpose of this webpage is to give information about the different courses that are associated with the digital side of BOA (Broadcast and New Media) and it will also include current student’s projects that they do during their time within BOA. The information that it will include is the different units that are studied during the courses, the different opportunities that are available, what you will get out of the course and the different career paths that the students can choose after completing their course.

 

Audience

The webpage has to appeal and inform a wide variety of people:

  • Potential Students – They need to be informed about what is studied during the different courses, what they will achieve and potential career choices that perhaps will become available after the course.
  • Parents – The parents of current students and potential students will need to be kept up to date about what their child is doing within their course, what the course offers their child and also the opportunities that will come out of the specific course.
  • Teachers – The teachers within BOA will have the opportunity to view the work of different students that are part of ‘BOA Digital’.
  • Current Students – Current students will have the opportunity to view their own work and other students on the webpage, it will also keep them up to date on what things are coming up in the coming weeks, it will also include information about assignment deadlines, so they students will know when their work has to be handed in by.
  • The public – The webpage will need to appeal to the public to give them information about what BOA Digital is about and what it offers, this could help BOA to gain more students in the coming years.

 

Structure

The webpage will include a home page that gives basic information about BOA Digital and the courses available. On every page there will be a navigation bar at the top just below the BOA Digital logo, the navigation bar will include the headings “Broadcast”, “New Media”, “Games Development”, “BOA TV/BOA Radio”, “The Future” and “Applications”. On the “Broadcast” page there will be an introduction of what the course is about; it will also have information about the different units within the course, what things you will have to do within the course, assignment briefs and deadlines for current students, what you will get out of the course and the projects that the current students are doing. On the “New Media” page there will be an introduction of what the course is about; it will also have information about the different units within the course, what things you will have to do within the course, assignment briefs and deadlines for current students, what you will get out of the course and the projects that the current students are doing. On the “Games Development” page there will be an introduction of what the course is about; it will also have information about the different units within the course, what things you will have to do within the course, assignment briefs and deadlines for current students, what you will get out of the course and the projects that the current students are doing. On the “BOA TV/BOA Radio” page there will be an introduction about what they are and there will also be links to live streams of both BOA TV and BOA Radio. On the “The Future” page it will have a list of what you can do after you finish your course, it will also give you information on how you can go about applying for different university’s or jobs. On the “Applications” page it will give potential students and parent’s information on how to apply for the different courses, what needs to be included within your application and what BOA is looking for in potential students.
